RIS is a pre-school through grade 12 private, not-for-profit school located in Bangkok, Thailand. Founded by Redemptorist Fathers over 60 years ago, RIS fosters a “Union of Hearts” in which the spirit of family love and caring is emphasized, while students from all religious denominations are welcomed into its multi-faith community. RIS promises students a school life that is well-rounded, engaging, and interactive. Healthy competition and ambition are supported, while academic success is achieved with the guidance of dedicated faculty, 71% of whom possess a master’s degree or higher. The school has 1,200 students representing 21 nationalities and 168 faculty members from 17 countries worldwide. RIS follows an American curriculum and offers both AP Capstone and IB Diploma Programs. RIS offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities. In athletics, RIS fields 60 sports teams from U11 to Varsity that participate domestically in BISAC and internationally in SEASAC. RIS has a vibrant arts community that hosts art shows as well as an annual production. Across sections, teachers and students participate in a variety of community service projects that encourage a lifetime commitment to those who are less fortunate. With special trips devoted to community welfare, student council initiatives, IB students earning CAS hours and after-school clubs devoting their weekends to needy causes, the RIS community is deeply committed to helping others in need.
