ISL Qatar is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, authorised to offer the IB Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. Building on the academic strength and over 40 years’ experience of our sister UK schools, ISL Qatar was founded in 2008 and is accredited by The Council of International Schools, The New England Association of Schools and Colleges. We are also members of The British Schools in the Middle East and the Association for the Advancement of International Education. The demanding academic programmes of ISL Qatar are a passport to the world’s best universities. Our unique and pioneering Mother Tongue programme remains a particular highlight of the school as we are the only school in Qatar to offer Mother Tongue Programmes in over eight languages and constantly adding more. Students’ cultural and linguistic identities are valued and nurtured through our Mother Tongue programmes. This added bi-lingual focus maintains home culture and language as well as improves the overall academic performance.ISL Qatar is a culturally diverse community which fosters a passion and enthusiasm for learning through outstanding educational practice. We enrol from ages 3 – 18 from 80 countries. Our international staff represent 40 different nationalities. ISL Qatar develops the attitudes, skills and understanding needed for active and responsible contributions to both local and global communities.
